The question of the effect of carbon disulfide on the tissues of the oral cavity of workers in the production of artificial fibers has not been sufficiently studied. At the same time, they are often diagnosed with diseases such as polyneuritis, hypertension, chronic gastritis, hepatocholecystitis [1]. The lack of information about the nature of the effect of carbon disulfide on the periodontium makes it impossible to carry out effective treatment of workers in the production of artificial fibers.

The purpose of the work is to study the clinic, develop an effective pathogenetic therapy and prevention of periodontal diseases in persons in contact with industrial aerosols of artificial fiber production.

Analysis of the immediate results obtained showed that the use of substances of a pathogenetic orientation in the complex treatment of patients with periodontitis makes it possible to arrest the clinical manifestations of the disease 2-3 visits earlier than in patients from the control group, and to achieve an earlier and more pronounced normalization of laboratory parameters. This testifies to the beneficial effect of the drugs used in the complex treatment of patients with periodontitis.

The significant prevalence of dental diseases among artificial fiber workers indicates the need to comply with preventive measures. Workers under constant exposure to carbon disulfide should strictly observe hygienic requirements: rinse their mouth with 1% copper sulfate solution while working in the shop and after contact with carbon disulfide. These measures are also effective for preventing candidal lesions of the oral mucosa, dissolving mucus that accumulates on the surface of the teeth, followed by formations of white soft plaque of tartar. For brushing your teeth, it is recommended to use pastes containing trace elements and vitamins - "Sea", "Balsam", "Chlorophyll".

Equally important in the prevention of periodontitis is a rational diet using foods rich in vitamins, proteins and mineral salts. Especially valuable are products containing copper, zinc, pyridoxine salts.

The data presented in the article indicate the need for a wide range of preventive and therapeutic measures with the inclusion of pathogenetic agents to prevent and reduce the progression of periodontitis in artificial fiber production workers.
