In the context of widespread introduction of the achievements of microbiology, genetic engineering, molecular biology into the national economy, the professional activity of many people is carried out under the intense influence of a biological factor, in particular, various microorganisms and their metabolic products [6]. The complexity of creating closed waste-free industries, imperfect means of disposal of emissions, violation of hygienic requirements for the state of technological equipment (its depressurization) at large-scale microbiological synthesis plants leads to constant contact of workers with both living and dead microorganisms, as well as with their waste products.
The main feature of enterprises for the production of enzyme preparations is the use of waste products of various non-pathogenic microorganisms (Bacillus subtilis, fungi of the genus Candida, Aspergillus, etc.).
Thus, as a result of a violation of the mechanisms of immunological surveillance, in particular the suppression of individual links of cellular and humoral immunity, the development of allergic reactions is possible.
Since the massive impact of an allergen of biological nature is characterized by an ambiguous response of the immune system, a complex of immunological methods is most acceptable to distinguish adaptive sensitization from allergic reactions and as criteria for diagnosing the adverse effect of production factors on the organism of workers in factories producing enzyme preparations, lymphocytes and their subpopulations, determination of the level of blood immunoglobulins) in combination with allergological tests (RSAL and RTML).
