Due to the widespread use of laser medical technology used to diagnose and treat numerous diseases, the number of medical professionals serving laser equipment will increase significantly. A number of clinical, hygienic and experimental studies indicate that laser radiation, being an active physical factor, can have a damaging effect on biological objects. It was found that the persons serving the laser systems develop changes in the central nervous, cardiovascular and endocrine systems, and the visual analyzer. Pathological changes can be both functional and organic [1]. Scientific research is carried out mainly in the direction of searching for new areas of application of laser technology, improving treatment methods. The purpose of this work is to study the relationship between the state of health and working conditions of medical workers serving laser installations.
The state of health of medical workers serving laser installations, against the background of unfavorable working conditions, raises certain concerns and requires further study. The Sanitary and Epidemiological Service and Safety Engineers need to tighten control over the operation of laser equipment in medical institutions. This category of medical workers must undergo an annual medical examination.
