Eptam is a herbicide widely used to control weeds in crops of beets, clover, flax and other crops. Refers to drugs of average toxicity. In the toxicodynamics of eptam, damage to the nervous system and impaired liver function prevail [1, 2, 3].
Eptam is quickly excreted from the body of warm-blooded animals. Excretion of eptam in the form of 14CO2 through the lungs is one of the main ways of excretion of the toxic chemical. The most intensive excretion of MC02 with exhaled air occurs in the first hours after the drug enters the animal's body, which is consistent with the data of Hubbell, Casida [4]. One of the main ways of excretion of eptam is its excretion in urine, only a small percentage of the drug is excreted in feces. These data are in full agreement with the results of research by Ong et al. [5].
It seems to us that data on the toxicokinetics of the accumulation, distribution and elimination of pesticides, in particular eptam, can play a significant role in the study of the mechanism of action of the drug in the body of warm-blooded animals.
