The paper presents data on the level and structure of morbidity, prevalence, mortality by main classes of diseases and nosological forms. Studies conducted among the population of Ukraine of working age in the dynamics of five-year follow-up. Features of occupational pathology are revealed.
The obtained results are the basis for organizational, treatment and prevention measures, comprehensive medical, social and environmental programs aimed at maintaining and improving health.
The current morbidity of the working population of Ukraine indicates the multiplicity of pathological conditions that can lead to reduced labor and intellectual potential), to significant limitations of biological and social functions of certain groups, including their participation in improving the socio-economic situation in the country. In recent years, the number of workers covered by periodic medical examinations in harmful and dangerous conditions has been declining, which is the reason for the under-detection of patients with occupational pathology. There is a need for a more active focus of the entire health care service on these new manifestations in the nature of morbidity.
Comprehensive analysis and evaluation of statistical data characterizing the health of the population, revealed significant negative changes associated with the impact on the human body of a complex of social, environmental, economic and other factors.
The obtained results should form the basis of policies and strategies regarding the health of the population of Ukraine, as well as the formation of comprehensive medical, social and environmental programs aimed at reducing negative health trends.
