Features of the effect of iron-containing polycomponent mixtures in the composition of welding aerosol on the biological age and aging rate of welders

The biological age of workers in welding professions was estimated using the methods developed at the Institute of Gerontology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
It was found that practically in all age groups the biological age of welders significantly exceeded the corresponding population standard of the aging rate - the proper biological age, which in many cases is due to chronic diseases of the CVS and bronchopulmonary apparatus, the development of which is associated with harmful working conditions.
It is concluded that the profession of a welder belongs to the category of professions with a high risk of developing diseases of the elderly.
