The state's responsibility for women's health is enshrined in the Constitution and the Fundamentals of Health Care Legislation. In these documents, health care is understood as a set of measures of political, economic, legal, socio-cultural, medical, sanitary and anti-epidemic nature. At present, guarantees in the field of health protection of the citizens of Ukraine, including our city, are not provided.

According to statistics, 46.8% of women in the country work in enterprises and organizations.

Among the reasons that negatively affect the health of women and their children, environmental factors, and especially factors of the working environment, play a major role.

The living conditions of women during pregnancy and their state of health are unfavorable for the birth of healthy offspring.

When analyzing the state of health of women and children, insufficient attention is paid to the analysis of the impact on these indicators of working conditions of women, especially pregnant women.

In order to improve the health of working women, among whom more than 70% are women of childbearing age, it is advisable to solve the following tasks:

  1. Bring to the level of the state administration of the city the problem of developing a regional program "Maternal health - a healthy child", taking into account the issues of occupational health of women in enterprises.
  2. Conduct a separate analysis of morbidity with temporary disability among women, which will allow risk assessment and prevention of industrial diseases.
  3. View the list of treatment and prevention facilities in the city, which are allowed to conduct mandatory preliminary and periodic medical examinations of workers in hazardous conditions. To consider the issue of creating a single prevention department in each district with full equipment and ensuring the work of a permanent commission for full-fledged medical examinations.
