The article describes the current state of occupational medicine and outlines the most pressing problems in this area in developed countries in comparison with the situation in Ukraine, in particular, we are talking about pneumoconiosis, occupational cancer, neuro-emotional overstrain. The ways of development of the occupational health service in Ukraine are indicated, the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to this issue is emphasized. Appropriate attention is paid to the ethical principles of protecting the health of the working population.
