Laboratory on problems of occupational health in transport

Testing laboratory (TL) was organized in 1995 on the basis of the Laboratory on problems of occupational health in transport, which has been functioning as a part of the Institute since 1984 and headed by Mikhail Ivanovych Zakharenko from 1987 to 2017.

Main trends of activity:

• testing of vehicles for compliance with the requirements of the current sanitary legislation and normative documentation (testing of vehicles, electric locomotives, buses, trams, trolleybuses, cars);
• participation in the work of inspection commissions in transport enterprises;
• conducting sanitary and epidemiological examination of normative documents for manufacturing vehicles and products of mechanical engineering;
• conducting sanitary and epidemiological examination of vehicles and products of mechanical engineering in relation to human health;

* carrying out hygienic researches for certification of workplaces;

* development of original methods for conducting hygienic research for certification of workplaces

for workers of selected professions with special conditions of work.

Normative-technical documents, developed in the Laboratory:

1. State sanitary norms and regulations "Occupational health of car drivers".

2. State sanitary rules on occupational health of drivers of underground electric trains.

3. Methodology for assessing work conditions and factors of the production process of air

traffic controllers;

4. Methodology of evaluation of work conditions and factors of the production process of electric

train drivers (in underground).

5. Methodology of evaluation of work conditions and factors of the production process of drivers and

assistant drivers of the locomotive depot.

6. Methodological instructions "Conducting examinations and optimization of work conditions of

dispatchers in centers for controlling train movement".

7. State Standard "Hygienic classification of work by indicators of harmfulness and danger of

factors of the work environment, severity and intensity of the work process".

8. Information and methodical materials: "Preventive approach to liquidation of consequences of

emergency situations with liquid dangerous goods, transported by rail".
