Functional state of workers engaged in sugar-beet cultivating

The conducted investigations demonstrate that in addition to mechanised works in the technological cycle of sugar- beet cultivating the manual work of women takes a considerable part. The performed mechanised and non-mechanised works are characterised by the high degree of harmfulness, danger and heaviness. For women a high level of loads at homes has been recorded.

Within working day changes in the functional state of the most important physiological body systems, the central nervous, cardio-vascular, neuro-muscular apparatus were recorded pointing to fatigue development. For the examined categories of agricultural workers a high level of somatic morbidity is characteristic.
